From the Governor
On behalf of the people and Government of the United States Virgin Islands, I applaud St. Croix This Week magazine for highlighting the best in entertainment, siteseeing, dining, shopping, and a myriad of recreational activities available on St. Croix. Both residents and visitors will find on page after page of this helpful resource guide eyecatching attractions, on-island features, and other points of interest. Whether with family, friends, or on your own, this magazine has the inside track and advance view of all the upcoming events and activities on the "Big Island."
St. Croix's relaxing beaches and rolling hillsides are the perfect complement for a weekend get-away, and the downtown shopping and restaurants in Christiansted and Frederiksted offer a variety of choices. There are hiking tours, snorkeling and scuba excursions, rainforest sights, and an abundance of other natural and cultural attractions throughout the island. The options for fun and entertainment are truly limitless, and St. Croix This Week provides immediate access to all of St. Croix's major attractions, while highlighting those that are off-the-beaten path.
As the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. Croix has a natural beauty that is both charming and awe-inspiring. Its wondrous landscapes, hillside views, oceanfronts, and downtown areas tell the story of an island rich in culture and history. The influence from Denmark is readily visible in our architecture and windmills, offering a pleasant introduction to the experience of our people of strong Caribbean traditions.
With a long history of providing the inside scoop on the latest and best in family fun and island excursion entertainment, St. Croix This Week truly captures the beat and pulse of our people. It is my pleasure to extend best wishes to all readers of St. Croix This Week for a safe and enjoyable experience in paradise.
We hope you will enjoy our home as much as we enjoy hosting you.
