Bryce, who grew up on St. Croix, mentioned the idea of see-through vessels to his father while working as a kayak tour guide. Some research led them to the Molokini model from Clear Blue Hawaii. These kayaks, made of the same high-tech Lexan used in jet canopies, are completely clear and offer 70-foot visibility, ergonomic comfort and stability. Passengers sit low in the hull in adjustable seats, and control their speed and direction with lightweight two-sided paddles.
