Historical Walking Tour of Frederiksted
Of all three historic towns in the Virgin Islands, the history of Frederiksted is arguably the most remarkable, with everything from slave rebellion to tsunami to warrior queens to conflagration. CHANT offers a walking tour that shares the history of the town while showcasing the magnificent waterfront, historic Fort Frederik, Victorian townhouses and historic churches.

chant-5.jpgHistorical Walking Tour of Christiansted
Guests will be transported to Christiansted and will be greeted by a CHANT tour guide for the walking tour of significant historic buildings in the town. Christiansted, once the capital of the Danish West Indies, features the Christiansted National Historic Site – one of the parks in the National Park System.

Creque Dam Farm, home of the Virgin Islands Sustainable Farm Institute, is a 200 acre working tropical forest farm and ecotourism destination with its roots in sustainable living. It is located in a hidden highland valley within St. Croix's famous tropical forest region. Tapping into the free services of nature from food to energy production, the Farm is the only certified Organic and Green Globe destination in the world. Tour visitors are welcome to gather, learn, slow down, and taste the fruits of St. Croix’s rich natural and agricultural heritage.

AY-AY Eco Hike & Tours — Educational Walking Tours
Ras Lamumba is a master Gardner, Herbalist, Naturalist, and Environmentalist. In 1978, Ras Lamumba began conducting tours, teaching gardening and the use of medicinal plants of the Rain Forest. Each Eco Hike will include a rambling informal
lecture based on the species actually encountered, their properties (both actual and legendary) and the Latin names as well as the more colorful appellations by which they are known in the Caribbean.

chant-9.jpgAnnaly Bay—Eco Hike & Talk
An exceptional area of St. Croix is the Northwest environment. Here, the natural and cultural history of the island comes alive. Hiking down the mountainside
to Annaly Bay is fairly steep in some areas. The environment encompasses a moist forest, valleys, slopes, rocky shoreline, and small and large tidal pools or saltwater baths.

Estate Hermitage & Parasol Mill
Located in the fertile valley of St. Croix’s tallest mountains, Blue Mountain to the East and Mount Eagle to the north, this area was heavily forested with giant tropical trees which were cleared to make way for sugar production. See the remaining herds of locally-bred Senopol Cattle grazing in the old sugar plantation and see examples of tropical trees such as Saman, Tibit and Tamarind. The hike meanders along the fertile lush valley to one of the largest man made ponds on the island.

chant-3.jpgThe Works at Butler Bay
Visit the ruins of one of the largest Sugar Factories on the island of St. Croix. Butler Bay, once one of the richest estates in the Danish West Indies, is home to the remains of the plantation including animal pens, and ancient Baobab trees brought to the island from Africa in the era of the slave trade.
